Fortnite Coming to iOS

Fortnite is a co-op sandbox game published by Epic Games. July 25, 2017, Fortnite was released as a paid for early access title for Microsoft Windows, MacOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.  Fortnite development was also co-developed by the company People Can Fly, which had previously worked with Epic Games on other projects. Fortnite’s Battle Royale surpassed PUBG for the highest number of continuous players and the game and is still not slowing down. Fans love that the game has numerous elements ranging from building to eliminating other players. The game supplies many resources to create anything to shield from attacks. You’re also able to scavenge for weapons that are placed all over the map’s locations. “Fortnite is fun, the graphics are amazing, and it’s also kid-friendly. I play the game on PC and Xbox every day.”(Thanacha Thamma 10). “I like Fortnite because it is not a play to win. It takes pure skill to win and I play three times a week.” (Patrick Mcgee). It recently announced that the game is releasing an IOS version of the game. It’s only compatible with the latest software IOS 11. The following devices that are compatible are; iPhone SE, iPhone 7/7 Plus,  iPhone 8/8Plus, iPhone X, iPad Mini 4, iPad Air2, iPad 2017, iPad Pro. The new mobile game is exclusively open to IOS users only. Android users sadly will have to wait. Fortnite is the best selling app in 13 countries. In less than 12 hours after its release, it is still progressing. You can’t play on the mobile app without an invite code from either Epic Games or someone who already has the code. There are conveniences to playing on mobile, but there are certain features that can tell the difference between console and the IOS version. The IOS version looks almost exactly like the console version, but the controls are very different. Instead of having a controller, you have to touch different places on the screen to aim, jump or turn. Some say that they prefer the console version over IOS because it’s simply easier to access the weapons without having to move the positions of your fingers on a tiny screen. However, some people disagree.” I prefer the IOS version because its easier to kill other players and I tend to get more victory on mobile than the console version.” (Thanacha Thamma10). Overall, the game is widespread on either IOS or console and the game will continue to excel in the gaming community.
