Club Highlight: Horticulture
Horticulture club is about plants; they meet every Tuesday after school until about 4:45. I interviewed Mr. Dezern, who is the Horticulture teacher and club sponsor. I asked him what the horticulture club was, what you do in the club and how to be a part of the club. I also interviewed three students that are a part of the club. They were Talia Allex(9), Katie Castellow (10), Olivia Mitschelen (10). I asked them what their favorite part of the club is if they recommend people and why. The students are a part of Mr. Dezern’s horticulture class. They said that their favorite part of the club is planting plants, hanging out with friends, and just having fun. You don’t have to do anything special to join; you have to show up. You don’t have to have any previous knowledge of plants to join; you have to want to be there. As a horticulture student, you learn how to plant plants and take care of them. I don’t know what you do in the club, but I would guess that you would do similar things. I understand that the club’s big thing is selling plants in the spring semester.
