Staff Spotlight: Ana A.
Ana,a senior at Wheeler High School and a second year in journalism, enjoys writing,
listening to music, and reading. Ana loves the independence of the newspaper and journalism
class. When asked what her favorite part about having Mrs. Comstock was, She replied, “I like
the fact that she lets us be free a lot of the time, and trusts us to be responsible. She feels like
many other teachers do not do that. I then asked her what qualities she feels have helped her
most in journalism. She stated, “ I read a lot so I think that helps because if you read a lot you
tend to write better.” She went on to say that she really enjoyed writing and she was fast while
doing it. Ana is cherished heavily in the journalism class by her peers.
I interviewed a few of her fellow journalists
who had like minded thoughts. When asked what
her favorite qualities about Ana were, Maya Billions
said, “Ana is a very good listener, and a good
friend because she always hypes you up. Maya’s
favorite memory with her was when they dressed
up as characters from Euphoria last year during
character week. Another friend, Jordan Wilson said
that, “ Ana has a good style and a great sense of
humor. Ana looks to continue her passion of writing
even outside of this class and in the future. With
these skill sets Ana is a great asset to the catalyst team.
Owen is a senior and this is his second year as a writer on the Catalyst.
