Coffee is the world’s greatest addiction. People drink it to wake themselves up, give themselves energy for the day, and for the taste of the beverage. Some massive restaurants and businesses specialize in selling coffee, such as Starbucks.
Starbucks is one of the most popular and controversial coffee shops, with an extensive menu that continues to widen. On March 7th, the company announced the release of its spring menu, which centered around new lavender-flavored and inspired products. Many students at Wheeler drink caffeinated beverages and enjoy Starbucks.
Ella Meyer (10), who drinks a lot of coffee, thinks positively of Starbucks’ products and expressed her openness and willingness to try the new lavender-flavored products on the menu. However, other students at Wheeler were less willing to try the menu even though they liked the company.
Marie Hable (10), who likes Starbucks, stated that she would not be trying anything on the menu due to her dislike of the taste and smell of lavender. Other students said they did not want to give the menu a chance due to their problems with the company.
Mythili Shah (10) seemed unwilling to give the new beverages a shot due to prices that she sees as excessive for the product that is being offered. Edward Kim (11) said that he probably wouldn’t try it due to his grievances with how Starbucks treats its workers and their union-busting practices. The new spring menu may succeed elsewhere but probably won’t be among Wheeler students.
