Who is Dr. Frank?
Dr. Frank is a literature teacher who has dedicated her professional life to bringing hope and motivating students to achieve their goals and dreams.
As an immigrant, she talks about her life from the perspective of someone who understands the challenges faced by many immigrant students. In moments of confusion, depression, and doubt, she offers advice to her students: “Nobody leaves a country just because. You have to remember not to fall into melancholic and romanticized views of the past. We, as immigrants, can remind Americans who have never left this country that there’s another version of life.”

Dr. Frank’s advice
“You do have to look to your heart and find the spark to understand your goal in your life. Don’t worry about the little details; if you find that inner strength, you just go and reach that goal. Everything happens for a reason, even when we don’t understand it now, even when we have a lot of questions.”
