Moana 2 is out now!!!
Recently, Disney announced the return of “Moana 2” under the direction of David Derrick, Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, with a new story to tell.
After an unexpected call from her ancestors, Moana must travel with Maui, plunging into the oceans and embarking on a dangerous mission.
Audiences are eagerly excited for this new film, which is in theaters on November 27.
What Are you Waiting to see?
“I’ve watched the trailers, and it looks like Moana becomes the new leader of her island and is ready for a dangerous journey,” said Alejandra Nieto (10).
She expressed that she has faith in the new Moana movie because the first one was so good and loved that they included a sister character: “I love that, one of the main themes seems to be the relationship between sisters, since I have a younger sister.”
However, even though she’s very excited about the movie, especially regarding the development of the characters and the introduction of new ones (like Moana’s sister), Alejandra offered some criticism about Disney’s recent movies and the sequels they’ve released.
“Disney movies aren’t the same anymore. I feel like the sequels completely change the original story.”
Sara Bociga (11) is very excited about the new release. She believes and hopes that the movie will dive deeper into the ocean journeys and Moana’s relationship with Maui.
She says: “I really like the theme of sagas and continuations of stories. If it’s a movie that grabs your attention and has the spark of the first one, everything is fine.”
She shares her thoughts on the controversies surrounding inclusion in Disney films: “Inclusion is meant to show people that it’s something normal and accepted. In the end, we are all the same.”
She also made a brief comment about cinema vs. streaming platforms. “In the cinema, you get emotion and anticipation, while at home you have much more privacy.”
Moana 2 will be released on November 29 in Disney plus.
Barbara Rincon (11) thinks it’s exciting that they are returning to being navigators and that Moana will have a sister. She believes that Disney’s new movies have been really good and have delivered great life lessons to the audience in general.
Aylin Pineda (11) is excited about the new Moana movie. She grew up watching the first one, and now, with Moana being older, she will be able to watch it again.
In conclusion, Disney movies have always had an impact on people’s childhoods. “Moana 2” is just an example of that impact on teenagers. They grew up watching the first film, and now they will watch it again with a new story to tell. Seeing Moana with more responsibility makes the movie feel closer to the reality of the teen audience (explaining their excitement about the movie), while still being enjoyable for all ages.
