The movie Wicked released in theaters on November 22, 2024 based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. With 87% of watchers so far liking this musical/fantasy directed by Jon M. Chu, it seems to be a must watch by fellow students: Josiah Heath (12), Emma Middleton (11), Queen Mitchell (12), and Gracie Chastain (12). Each having nothing to say but great things about this production.
Emma Middleton (11) says she would absolutely recommend because it has been musically conducted in a way that just flows with the movie.
Even Queen Mitchell (12) shares its an amazing throwback to the book and The Wizard of Oz movie.
Now, as far as was it worth the wait? Josiah Heath (12) says it indeed was that he really liked the wicked-on Broadway, so waiting for another adaption was well worth the wait.
Queen Mitchell (12) also says that the special guests definitely made it worth the wait for her.
One thing they all agreed on as a collective was that they will definitely watch Wicked again with Josiah Heath even stating how he’s actually already set to go again Thursday.
Some of their favorite parts of the movie include Gracie Chastain (12) being the “Defying Gravity” scene.
Also Emma Middleton (11) favored the “Oz Dust” ballroom scene.
Now Queen Mitchell (12) enjoyed when Elphaba and Fiyero both took the lion club to the forest.
Lastly, Josiah Heath (12) appreciated the ending scene.
When it comes to the actors, Emma Middleton believes Arianna Grande especially did a great job as Glinda capturing: her character and portraying the work of Kristen Chenowith had placed in the Broadway character.
Josiah Heath (12) adds how they stayed truthful to the originals while also adding their own touch to the characters.
All rated this movie 10/10 across the board and recommend others to give it
