Marvel has continued to provide a steady stream of media over the years, to the delight of Marvel fans. There have been some recent movies, however, that have met more criticism than before. Some controversial Marvel movies include Eternals, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Thor: Love and Thunder, and The Marvels. This begs the question- was Deadpool and Wolverine well-received?
Destiny Soto (12) is a fan of Marvel, and she thoroughly enjoyed the movie. She was excited for Wolverine to return to the screen and has enjoyed the Deadpool movies, so she went into the movies with good expectations. When asked if she would view it again, she said, “Yes, it was a 10/10.”
Naya Patel (12) is a HUGE Marvel fan. This movie was greatly anticipated, and she felt it did not disappoint. Naya went to the theater with a close group of friends to see the movie because “I was bored, and it seemed funny.” The previews for Deadpool and Wolverine were packed with action and comedy, which seemed to draw in movie goers like Naya. Once there, the movie lived up to its previews for Naya as she rated it an enthusiastic 10/10 and noted, “I would see it again, but with more friends.” It appears she wants more of her friends to have the great movie experience that she had!
Another person who was drawn in by the excellent marketing was Chase Fournier (12). Chase, like Destiny and Naya, is a Marvel over DC fan. The marketing and his love for the Deadpool movies encouraged him to go see this movie in theaters with his friends. He rated it a solid 9/10 and said that he would see it again.
Though not a Marvel or DC fan, Edward Kim (12) still went to see Deadpool and Wolverine. He decided to go see it in theaters because his friends wanted to. His expectations were not as great as some Marvel fans, but he did enjoy it. He gave the movie an 8/10- good for someone who doesn’t regularly watch Marvel movies. He also noted that he would see it again.
