Music Midtown Strikes Again

Music+Midtown+Strikes+Again

Music Midtown- the epitome of music festivals across the nation. From the very first event in 1994 to the most recent, which was on September 15th and 16th, Music Midtown has proven to be a fan favorite. While most concerts only feature one artist, this grand event futures up to forty artists in only two days. Although it is located in the heart of Atlanta, there are many visitors who travel from different parts of the country for this special weekend, and with its convenient location at Piedmont Park, it makes the setting that much more beautiful. The most well-known artists that have come to Music Midtown thus far are Post Malone, Khalid, Bruno Mars, Tove Lo, and Big Sean. With lineups like these, it can be seen why this music festival has become such an important aspect of life in Atlanta. Since these artists differ so much in their styles and flows, every single music fan is bound to be able to attend a concert that is fit to their music taste.

With a festival this huge, and a park that big, music is definitely not the only thing Music Midtown has to offer. Various food trucks, a Ferris Wheel, and unicorn balloons are just a few of the other aspects included. Seen within the park are small groups of friends consisting of 4-5 people, couples, and even ginormous groups of friends made up of 30-40 people. More friends, more fun! Another factor to Music Midtown that adds to its greatness is that standing is optional. If someone wants to join in on the craziness and dance until the sun goes down, then they can stand amongst the crowd and be close to the artist. On the other hand, if seating is preferred by someone, they can lay their picnic blanket on the grass and chill out, all while listening to their favorite artists. Having gone to this year’s event, I believe that it is one of the best experiences anyone could have in their lifetime. It is definitely a recipe for a good time. Being able to spend time with friends, listening to amazing music, and eating fantastic food, all at the same time? That calls for a great weekend, and everyone that attended believed so too! Music Midtown is definitely a once in a lifetime experience that cannot be compared to anything else- not even unicorn balloons.
