Tristan Thompson, a twenty-seven-year-old basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, was romantically involved with Khloe Kardashian, a thirty-four-year-old American media personality. They started officially dating in 2016, and things have been kind of rough for them since then. They had a baby girl, True Thompson, on April 12th of 2018. Two days before Khloe had True, that’s when the cheating accusations against Tristan started, and that’s admittedly when the cheating saga began. A few days before Khloe gave birth to True, Tristan was seen kissing another girl at a club. Khloe continued to stick by him and forgave him, but that just gave him more reason to cheat again, and again.
The huge cheating situation that happened this year in February 2019 was that Tristan cheated on Khloe with her younger sister’s (Kylie Jenner) best friend, Jordyn Woods. Jordyn got an invitation to an exclusive after party that Tristan was hosting and before she came, he told everyone to put their phones away. After that night, people from the party exposed him on social media, saying that they were both all over each other and that they had kissed. After getting exposed, Tristan, a twenty-seven-year-old man, tweeted “Fake news,” trying to put out that those accusations were false. Come to figure out, that they were true. Khloe confronted him about it, and he admitted that he and Jordyn did indeed kiss at his party. The Kardashian/ Jenner family were appalled and cut off ties with both Jordyn and Tristan. While this chaotic mess was happening, Khloe liked a tweet that was bashing both Woods and Thompson. Kylie Jenner remained silent and didn’t say her opinion about her best friend kissing her sister’s very serious significant other.
When the rumors started surfacing the internet, Jordyn tries denying it but that backfired since Tristan came forward with the truth. Sources say that she was blackout drunk at the party and that she had no idea what she was doing, but Jeffree Star, a celebrity makeup artist, reports they’ve been secretly hooking up for months. They all live in the same neighborhood in Calabasas and Star calls Jordyn and Tristan out in a snapchat video saying that the neighbors would see Jordyn and Tristan sneaking in and out of each other’s houses for more than a month. But an insider states that those claims were “not true” and that they haven’t hooked up before that party. So, was that just a one time, drunken mistake on Jordyn’s part or have they been seeing each other longer than that?
Thompson doesn’t care that people know about the whole situation. He isn’t a manipulative person, he’s just a cheater, and he doesn’t seem to care enough to hide the fact that he is. Tristan is over the whole situation and wants to be done with it. Jordyn publicly comes clean and tells her side of the story in a Red Table Talk with host Jada Smith. Woods had the opportunity to get interviewed to get perspective out there and to tell what happened. She explains that she wasn’t all over him as people made it seem. She said that she was never sitting on his lap; it may have looked that way because she was sitting on the arm of the chair that he was sitting on. She also said that she was intoxicated, but was well aware of her actions. They stayed up until sunrise and then she realized that she needed to go home. As she was leaving, she was saying goodbye to everyone, and when she said goodbye to Tristan, he pecked her on the lips and caught her off guard, including everyone else that saw it. Jordyn said she didn’t know how to tell Kylie or Khloe about the situation because Khloe and Tristan were already arguing and she didn’t want to add more fuel into the fire. She tells Jada in the interview that she knows that it was wrong of her to keep it to herself, but Woods had no idea how to come to anyone with that information. At first, Khloe blamed Jordyn for ruining her family and accused her of lying, but then she comes to her senses and realizes that Tristan was the problem all along. Khloe finally and truly breaks up with him. Khloe’s sister, Kim, was furious after hearing Jordyn’s side of the story and blames Tristan for everything which is in contrast to her initial opinion, where she shaded Jordyn in a snap video singing a song with the lyrics “find your own man…”. The relationship between Kylie and Jordyn is yet to be determined and just Jordyn in general with that whole family because all they could feel was betrayal and anger when they figured out about that night. At the end of it all though, Khloe Kardashian woke up and left her cheating boyfriend and that’s a good thing that we could focus on throughout this entire fiasco. Remember, once a cheater, always a cheater.
