TV Show Review: YOU

The serial killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is back for a third season. This netflix season of man stalking women searching for a potential love. But this season he not only has a new wife named Love (Victoria Pedretti), who was one of Joe’s girlfriends in season two – but they also have a new baby, Henry.

In the new episodes Joe is trying to adapt to the new Californian suburban life with his new family. Season 3 trailer shows how Joe made a vow to himself to leave his murderous ways behind him for the sake of his son. He made it clear to himself that he needed to be better for his kid and marriage. But it wasn’t that simple for his wife Love, who is comfortable with killing as much as he is.

Joe’s actions – accompanied once again by his over-indulgent inner monologue – got carried away with 2 women in his new life. His new neighbor Dottie (Saffron Burrows) and new boss Marianne (Tati Gabrielle). Love feels like she has to eliminate the women in order to keep her marriage.

Netflix released a few sneak peek images of the new season, including one of Love holding a knife and Joe in full stalking mode. They also introduce real-world commentary, such as anti-vaxxers, the idea that one group of rich people can run the city and more.
