Improv: New Club at Wheeler!

Improv is coming to Wheeler! This year Wheeler started many new clubs, including an improv club. Improv is a comedic theater performance that is made up at the moment. When people perform an improv scene, they have no idea what they will be performing and make it up as they go. Improv is a type of theater that Ms. Day, the theater teacher, has been trying to get into Wheeler for a while.
Angel Gabriel (11) shares how he enjoys the improv games Dr. Dre uses to teach them skills. He also mentions how the club is so close-knit that it feels like a second family.

Shalini Narine (10) says how being in improv club has helped with her anxiety. She explains that improv has helped her learn how to think on the spot and not overthink what she says. Both Angel and Shalini plan to take improv club again next year.

Aidan Bannister (12) has never heard of the improv club before and suggests that more people would be interested in improv if they knew more about it.
At the end of the day, improv club is a club that allows students to have time to just goof around and laugh with their friends and learn good communication skills.
