The Atlanta Braves’ 2023 regular season was a story of redemption. It began with a roster filled with talent but overshadowed by past disappointments. Spring training in Orlando set the stage for the Braves’ journey. The coaching staff worked diligently to overcome disappointments earlier in the season, and it set the tone for a potential championship run, but unfortunately, it ended all too quickly.
The Atlanta Braves season has concluded after a frustrating and disappointing loss at the hands of the rival Phillies in the NLDS, happening 3-1 in four games, even with the historic regular season they had. Comparing the two postseasons, you will find a lot of similarities that mirror each other in many ways. The offense, one of the highest-scoring lineups in baseball history, once again went quiet against Philadelphia. The Braves will now look for redemption in the 2024 season, where they can hope to build an even more competitive roster and have some playoff success.
The Braves won their 4th title during the 2021 season when they beat the Houston Astros in 5 games. It was their first title in more than 20 years. The Atlanta Braves showed they could win a championship with determination and teamwork. It was a season that would be remembered by Braves fans, the season that told the story of a team that rose to the occasion when it mattered most, and a season that will be remembered for years to come, the Atlanta Braves’ 2022 season ended with a heartbreaking first-round loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, much like this year’s outcome.
Gabe Padilla (11) shared their favorite player and hopes for the Braves: “My favorite player on the Braves is Ronald Acuna Jr. I think he just brings a certain swagger to the Braves that other teams can’t compete with. Although we are currently down in the series, we can return in the MVP race. It’s Acuna, and it’s not close at all.”
Juan (12) – Shared his controversial opinions on the Braves and who, if Acuna, will win MVP. “Man, the Braves are overrated, in my opinion, since Freeman left; they haven’t had that go-to guy in the playoffs, and we will honestly get eliminated in the first round because we are rusty. I think that playoff bye ruined our rhythm; Acuna will still probably win MVP, but just off regular season alone.”
Stacy Deoliveira (11)- Stacy talks about how she became a Braves fan and loves the sport. “I love the Braves! I love baseball since I was born in Atlanta. I got to support my team. They are so good that I think they will attend the World Series. My favorite player is Matt Olson because he’s clutch.

Kendall Holmes (9)- Kendall is confident about Ronald Acuna’s MVP chances. “I think the Braves got it this year to keep it a buck, Acuna has the MVP on lock, and we pretty much seem unstoppable; when we make the World Series, I think we’ll play Houston again because it honestly just makes sense Kendall also said “nope braves all day baby, we aren’t losing,” Kendall stated.
