The presidential elections end tomorrow, and Kamala Harris isn’t wasting time. On October 24, 2024, she made her first appearance in Georgia in a rally as part of the “When We Vote, We Win” concert series.
What was her speech about?
Most of her speech focused on her opponent Donald Trump and encouraging people to express their opinions. As an opening, Harris talked about the importance of voting and motivating people to exercise their right: “Vote is your voice, and your voice is your power.” Following this, she emphasized Donald Trump’s behavior, comparing it to the elections of 2016. She stated that the candidate’s attitudes are “unstable and confusing,” warning the audience about the danger he represents for democracy. She recalled the promise Trump made years ago to “become a dictator one day” and highlighted the absence of key figures, who are not supporting him in this campaign.
“So, listen, so much is on the line in this election. And this is not 2016 or 2020. The stakes are even higher. There were people around him who could control him. But do notice in this election, they’re not with him this time.”
Former President Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen also participated in this speech, supporting not only the candidate’s ideas but also her opinions about Donald Trump.
Obama described his successor as someone who only cares about “his ego, his money, his status,” and argued that Kamala is more than ready to take on this job: “If you elect Kamala Harris, she will be focused on you.” Meanwhile, rock legend Bruce Springsteen openly confirmed his support for Kamala Harris. “I want a president who reveres the Constitution.” He touched on the issue of social classes and expressed his opposition to Donald Trump’s campaign.
POLLS
The presidential elections are on November 5th, and the polls about who will win are very close. According to the New York Times, neither of the candidates has a significant advantage over the other.
States like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia are crucial in these elections, and even though it looks like Trump is gaining an edge in those states, Kamala has not backed down. Public opinion about her has been increasing, making the averages very similar.
Donald Trump with a 49% and Kamala with a 48% in Georgia

Camila Garcia (9) said, “I’m very confused about this. If I could vote, I would vote blank.” She talked about the two candidates: “Donald Trump is racist; he doesn’t care about anyone who’s not him,” and added that Kamala Harris is not ready to be president. Less Than a Week
As Americans, we must exercise our right to vote. Even if we, as teenagers, can’t vote, we have influence, personal opinions, and thoughts that can help shape the future if we develop them. We must remember our obligation to participate in the decisions that affect the country where we live, and we should never forget to share our positions with others; being listened to is our right as well. During these election times, we can exercise this right.
